From IMTMA Desk

Dear Members,

India has begun Year 2023 on an optimistic note while exercising caution as the global trend is indicating a slowdown. India is one among the few countries which is overriding this effect and managing to stay steady.

India’s manufacturing PMI (purchasing managers’ index) recorded 57.8, a 26 months’ high as the year 2022 ended, according to S&P Global. Merchandise exports from India had risen steadily during the last two years, crossing $400 billion in FY 2022. India will attempt to keep this going despite the global headwinds.

Indian machine tool industry has been cruising well in terms of consumption and production. Order book position for the forthcoming quarters also looks encouraging.

Measured government schemes, production linked incentive (PLI) schemes, free trade agreements (FTAs) especially those inked with UAE and Australia during last year and increased government expenditure in various industry sectors such as construction, railways, electronics, agriculture, defence, etc. besides retail consumption have enabled us to hold fort.

IMTMA is all geared up for its flagship event, IMTEX, Tooltech & Digital Manufacturing 2023. IMTEX has more than 980 exhibitors from 23 countries. Click here to view the IMTEX 2023 film. Register your visit today @ IMTEX Expo Platform and plan your visit.
