Worldwide, advanced economies are looked upon as benchmarks and that’s where India which currently occupies sixth position in global rankings is heading to in the coming future. The country’s economy has recovered significantly from the pandemic days, although the growth may not have been uniform across sectors. India’s manufacturing PMI rose to 55.9 in October, expanding for the fourth consecutive month while the services PMI in October jumped to 58.4 as against 55.2 in September, according to IHS Markit Survey. Services activity which has risen at fastest pace in 10 years will go a long way in furthering the confidence of business communities in India.
As we move on it is pertinent that the machine tool industry in India has to meet its business needs with dexterity, operate with full efficiency and assiduously unlock its innovation potentials to develop new solutions for growth. Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is organizing the 15th edition of National Productivity Summit (NPS 2021) as a virtual event on 10 - 11 December 2021. The IMTMA-ACE MICROMATIC Productivity Championship Awards 2021 will be conferred during the summit.
Manufacturers will have a lot to unearth when IMTMA organizes its flagship IMTEX from January 20 - 26, 2022 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. With the pandemic receding and confidence in economy being restored, the time is apt for exhibiting companies to come forward and participate in the exhibition. IMTEX & IMTEX FORMING 2022 will be held as a “Safe Exhibition” following all protocols laid down by the government. I call upon readers to visit the show to witness live demo of technologies and solutions. |
