IMTMA held its 73rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) held on 12 Sept. 2019. Mr. Indradev Babu, Managing Director, UCAM Private Limited was elected as the new President of IMTMA. Mr. Ravi Raghavan, Managing Director, Bharat Fritz Werner Limited was elected as the new Vice President of IMTMA.

A meeting of IMTMA Regional Council (South) was held at BIEC, Bengaluru on 28th August 2019. A presentation on "IMTMA’s Policy Initiatives" was made by Mr. P J Mohanram, Sr. Advisor, IMTMA. Members interacted on the current industry status and actions needed to gear up to the challenge to meet customer expectations.

IMTMA participated in the 22nd edition of EMO, the world’s largest metalworking show organized by VDW in Hannover from 16 - 21 September 2019. For the first EMO had the largest participation from India (36 Companies: 21 Members and 15 Non-Members). Indian Exhibitors participated to get the best out of EMO 2019. Many of them were happy with the response from (visitors / enquiries). EMO 2019 featured a good number of emerging technologies.

To drive manufacturing excellence through automation, IMTMA will organize Symposium on Smart Automation on 21 - 22 November 2019 at BIEC, Bengaluru.

Coinciding with IMTEX FORMING, IMTMA will organize an International Seminar on Forming Technologies on 22nd January 2020 at BIEC, Bengaluru.

South and South East Asia’s largest exhibition on metal forming will be held at BIEC, Bengaluru from 23rd - 28th January 2020. Tooltech will be held concurrent to IMTEX FORMING 2020 and will showcase tools for metalworking machine tools, Measuring machines and instruments.
