The 11th edition of IMTMA’s National Productivity Summit was held in Pune on 4 - 5 August 2017. The summit was inaugurated by Mr. Girish Shankar, Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry, Govt. of India, and Mr. Shishir Joshipura, Managing Director, SKF India. About 400 delegates participated in this 2 day summit.

IMTMA organized the second edition of the Delhi Machine Tool Expo (DMTX 2017) from 10 - 13 August 2017 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The expo featured 242 exhibitors from 10 countries and had a footfall of 11,279 visitors from various industries.

IMTMA is organizing an exclusive hands on course “Finishing school in Production Engineering” at IMTMA Technology Centre, Bangalore to enhance skill sets of engineers and supervisors from manufacturing industries. This course is of 4 weeks duration and is totally practical oriented with Hands on practice in production CNC machines, CAD/CAM, Metrology equipment, Tooling and work holding systems and other accessories.
