Over 350 participants from 130 companies participated in the International Seminar on Forming Technology held on 24th January 2018 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru.

IMTEX FORMING 2018 & Tooltech 2018 was organized by IMTMA at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru from 25th to 30th January 2018. The exhibition featured 504 exhibitors. Business orders worth Rs.539 Cr were generated and enquiries worth Rs.4819 Cr were obtained.

Buyer-Seller meetings facilitate direct interactions between exhibitors and buyers from domestic and international markets through pre-scheduled meetings. Twenty-one delegates from 7 countries took part in the International Buyer-Seller Meet held from 27th to 28th January 2018 at BIEC, Bengaluru.

Researchers from 44 institutions presented their R&D projects. The best research projects were awarded. Marathwada Institute of Technology won the first prize. PDPM IIIT DM won the second prize and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay won the third prize.

More than 2000 students from over 50 institutions took part in ‘i Connect’ to enrich themselves with opportunities in store for them in the manufacturing sector.

IMTMA is organizing the second edition of Pune Machine Tool Expo (PMTX 2018) from 27 - 30 September 2018 in Pune. PMTX 2018 will be a one-stop destination to display state-of-the-art technologies primarily focusing on manufacturing.

IMTMA is organizing the third edition of Delhi Machine Tool Expo (DMTX 2019) from 4 - 7 July 2019 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. DMTX 2019 will be a perfect platform to demonstrate latest technologies in metal cutting and metal forming machinery.

IMTMA is organizing a six days course which will introduce students to fixture design basics. A complete process of fixture design will be carried out from concept to finish design. Pre-design activities like design input, conceptualization, process planning, accuracy consideration, cycle time estimation, POKAYOKE, 3D modeling of parts and assembly, using popular design CAD tools and preparing the final manufacturing drawings will also be taught.

IMTMA is organizing an exclusive hands on course “Finishing school in Production Engineering” at IMTMA Technology Centre in Bengaluru to enhance skill sets of engineers and supervisors from manufacturing industries. This course is of 4 weeks duration and is totally practical oriented with Hands on practice in production CNC machines, CAD/CAM, Metrology equipment, Tooling and work holding systems and other accessories.

IMTMA is organizing is organizing a 12 day program on “Foundation Course on Manufacturing with Sheet Metal” at Pune to give an illustrative hands-on exposure to the entire process & equipment for mass manufacturing a fairly complex sheet part, including tryout of entire set of Dies for manufacturing of individual sheet metal component and its inspection.
