Delhi Machine Tool Expo 2017
IMTMA will organize the second edition of the Delhi
Machine Tool Expo at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from 10
to 13 August 2017. The expo will address the manufacturing
requirements of the Original Equipment Manufacturers
(OEMs) of various industry sectors in Tier II and Tier III
cities of North India.
IMTEX FORMING 2018 & Tooltech 2018
IMTMA will organize its flagship IMTEX FORMING 2018 at BIEC from 25 to 30 January 2018 in Bengaluru.
IMTEX FORMING 2018 will be a significant exhibition for South East Asia with the presence of leading national and
international manufacturing firms from the metal forming sector. Tooltech 2018, a concurrent event of dies & moulds,
forming tools, machine tool accessories, metrology and CAD/CAM will be held simultaneously.
Skill Development
Machine Tool Design – Mechanical
3 April - 27 May 2017, Bengaluru
IMTMA is conducting an 8 weeks course which is structured on design fundamentals, more focused on
machine tool design. A complete design of CNC Turning center will be carried out from concept to finish.
Pre-process activities like design input, conceptualization, machine specification, 3D modeling of parts,
sub-assemblies and final assembly using popular design CAD tools and preparing
the final manufacturing drawings in par with industry standards, etc. will also be covered in the course.
Design of Gearbox– Industrial Machinery
24 - 29 April 2017, Gurugram
IMTMA is organizing a 6 days course that will introduce participants to the elements of a Gear box.
It will also introduce participants to types of gears, gear profiles, gear calculations and gear standards.
The course will enable students to understand the design thinking process, identify and assess customer opportunities,
generate and evaluate new product and service concepts.

Heat Treatment Processes in Metal Working
23 - 24 May 2017, Pune
IMTMA is organizing a 2 day programme on Heat Treatment Processes in Metalworking at IMTMA
Technology Centre in Pune. Heat Treatment is a core manufacturing process carried out under
controlled application of temperature and atmosphere to optimize certain physical and mechanical
properties of metals/alloys. Students during the training programme will be exposed to the
fundamentals and purposes
of heat treatment processes, the basic heat treatment processes, advanced techniques,
techniques of distortion control, etc.

International Event
TIMTOS 2017
March 7 - 12, 2017, Taipei
The 26th Taipei International Machine Tool Show was organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry. India was among the 21 countries which participated in the international machine tool show. IMTMA participated in the exhibition with an objective of promoting its forthcoming shows, the Delhi Machine Tool Expo 2017 and IMTEX FORMING 2018. IMTMA made a presentation on IMTEX FORMING 2018 to Taiwanese companies and also held one to one meetings with potential Taiwanese companies, international associations and key agencies for group participation and promoting country pavilions in IMTMA trade fairs.
